Isaiah 40:30,31

Even youths grow tired and weary,
       and young men stumble and fall;
 but those who hope in the LORD
       will renew their strength.
       They will soar on wings like eagles;
       they will run and not grow weary,
       they will walk and not be faint. has a new diary page!

Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore -- Jeanette is second!
September 2, 2007

The rain held up at the inaugural Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore to make for a very hot and humid race. Some 1,250 triathletes from 44 countries took the plunge at East Coast Park and cycled and biked around the city in a very well organised race.

I managed a pretty strong swim and bike, and trodded through the run for second among 29 women in the 25-29 age group in 5h 20min. More here.

Oakley City Duathlon -- Jeanette is fifth overall

Oh well, fifth disapointedly in Singapore's first city duathlon. Not the result I expected in a race which doubled as a South-east Asia Games trial, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. Next trial: July 8. The plan: train hard, lose weight, get fast. Race report here.
