Cryptic title I know. But when your brain is fried from a week of golf reporting, you don’t really have the mental juice left to come up with anything witty. So, I didn’t bother.
Bolognaise - spaghetti bolognaise, of course. Damo cooked on Saturday night, warning me on Friday (or was it Thursday?) about this secret dish he was going to whip up for me. Locked me out of the kitchen once again, not that I cared this time cos I was wreckin’ my brains writing the Lexus Cup Day 2 report. From the smell, I guessed there was 1) Tiger Beer, 2) Guinness or 3) carrots in the dish. Only my last guess was right. (How brilliant is my sense of smell????) Anyway turns out it was super duper authentic Italian bolognaise, not the watery, blood-red, tomato-y crap you get at most places here. Mmm, delish. And, for sheer economies of scale, Damo cooke 10 - yes, t-e-n - portions of the melt-in-your-mouth meaty dish.

we had bolognaise for dins on Saturday

we had bolognaise again last night
No bolognaise again for us tonight, though. We are going for Japanese. Save the bolognaise for Tuesday. And Wednesday.
Anyway, onto balls. As mentioned earlier, a load of balls at the Lexus Cup this past week. Internationals beat the Asians 12.5-11.5 in a nail-biting finish yesterday, giving me a bigger headache as to how to fit in all the drama, the 18th-hole heroics, the loud-mouthed Christina Kim, and all other 11 singles matches into a 40cm story. Read today’s papers to see how it turned out. Am pretty ok with how it reads, but a bit of a pity cos I had so much good material I could not fit in.
Bumpers. On my car. Finally squeaky clean along with a healthy shine on the body after a good scrubbin’ this mornin’. I can’t remember when I last washed it, but it probably was a few months back. But parking under shady trees at SICC on a rainy weekend left my car covered in a garden (ok, wasn’t as bad as I make it out to be, but I gathered a pile of leaves after picking them out from every nook and cranny of the car’s exterior).

shiny pink mobile!
And, for a final ‘B’-word today: BREAK. Day off! Woohoo! Though it’s going to be my only one till Sunday.
