Howl at the Moon, I have to say, is probably one of my least favourite places in Singapore. Bad music, bad food, uninteresting crowd, lousy room layout. Oh well. That’s where we spent our final hours of 2008 and the first couple of hours of 2009, till both of us snuck away from our group of merry friends to hit the sack at about 3am. I was falling asleep at 10pm! I don’t think I’m cut out for this kind of parties. Give me a nine-hour, overnight run anytime. Heehee.
Anyway, for all the negative stuff that Howl at the Moon is, we had positively tons of fun last night. Dancing and singing along to bad music, drinking champagne, watching people fall asleep on couches and others dance on bar tops, getting a reprieve of good music across the lane at Jamie’s party at Que Pasa, more champagne, more dancing and singing, leaving silly voice messages on Joe’s and Mike’s UK mobiles, counting down and hugs and kisses all around when the clock struck 12.

happy new year!
This morning we got out of bed at 10am, had toast for brekkie, lazed around, then I whipped up some Spanish omelette for lunch. Off to work I went after, been sitting around looking for stories for the new year, went for a 50min run on the tready in the office gym, found a story for tomorrow, and am about to pack up and go home to my baby’s cookin.
2009 is starting out just fine…
