Hello!

Hope everyone has been well. I haven’t blogged in a while because I just haven’t had the mood to. The AYG screwed up my whole routine, and after that I was sick for a few days… not swine flu though. Anyway, time to get back into the groove!

Here are some highlights of the past few weeks:

1. Brother’s wedding

2. Our 18th month anniversary brunch at PS Cafe at Dempsey

3. Lee’s 101st birthday (or was it 102nd?)

4. Audax 200km brevet (my first ride to Kulai since 2007! my first ride over 2.5h in over 2 months!)

5. Quite a bit of cooking — szechuan style long beans with minced pork, yangzhou fried rice, (can’t remember the rest) and tonight, baked katsu curry rice!

6. In the training realm, I’ve been taking it easy since the Sundown, albeit still exercising once or twice almost everyday. I’ve also been riding to work much more. I’m really really enjoying cruising around on my single speed. I haven’t swum very much, have run too much either. Have been spending more time on the bike, inspired by the Tour on TV! Done quite a bit of water running too, to give my joints a break.

Will have to get back to proper land running soon, though. I’ve teamed up with Lai Chee (Sundown Marathon runner-up for past two years) upon her request for The North Face 100km women’s duo (50km each). Was invited for the 100km race but turned it down because my focus for this half of the year will be November’s Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater, Florida, so I won’t be doing the super long runs I was doing before.

Alright, that’s all for now. Good night!
