The sun after the storm

Sunny weather returned to Langkawi today, our designated rest day before heading back for more gunung raya tomorrow. After breakfast we headed out to the go karting track about 5km away, something Damo has been wanting to do since we arrived.

It’s no wonder he was so keen to kart. He’s pretty damn good at it… Either that or I really suck at it. I think it’s a combination of the two. His first lap alone was nearly a minute faster than mine. He lapped me on my second lap and eventually finished fastest among our six driver heat. He was pretty chuffed about it as he says it’s the first time he’s won a race!
The racing took all of 10min for 37 ringer jingers each person. Then we walked over 4km in the scorching midday sun to the airport for our starbucks fix for the day. Frappucinos never tasted better after that long trek!
Energised, we took a cab to Temerun Waterfall. Boy, was it refreshing! I jumped in in my undies as Damo looked on. The water was really chilly!

After an hour or so we left for home, and are spending the rest of the afternoon lazing by the pool. Good times!
