Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore 2010

Team BPM-SPORT.COM
Swim 1.9k - Chris McCormack 27.12
Bike 90.1k - Dan Plews 2:14.55
Run 21.1k - Jeanette Wang 1.45.34
Total - 4:30.05

Unfortunately, we were leading the race till the runner from Team Pico Indec Bike Labz caught up with me near the end of the first of three running laps. I tried as hard as I could! The weather was sooooo hot. Actually was going pretty good till things started falling apart as I headed for my third lap. Am just glad I kept my head cool and finished strong.

Chris and Dan did wonderful, though! What a wonderful opportunity to be able to team up with triathlon’s greatest and a former top British junior elite (and now top age-grouper).

As you know, we did the race in aid of the Breast Cancer Foundation. Donations are still being accepted, please visit our fundraising site and help our cause!

As I said in the post-race interview: “We may have lost the fight today, but we want to make sure the Breast Cancer victims don’t lose theirs.”

    Hey Nur,

Thanks… actually I don’t do any crunches so I’m wondering where those abs came from!
But yes, keeping a healthy, low-fat diet and avoiding fried foods definitely helps. :-)

Nice article on Everyday heros who inspires!

I love the part on “Running, in this way, is like fire. Just a spark of inspiration or motivation is all it takes for someone to develop a burning passion for the sport.”
