Run Round Singapore

What have you done so far today? Well, my friends Adrian and Kok Chiow have covered over 100km of running and counting. Along with seven other runners, they set off from Nanyang Technological University at 8.30am this morning for a 218km loop around Singapore.

I joined Adrian and Kok Chiow from the start till Kranji MRT, which was over 60km of running. We were the lead pack of runners and judging from the live tracking website, they are still ahead of the bunch as of now.

Among the banter during that 60km (Nick joined us at about 45km and continued with them as I went off for work) included why some people just don’t get why they’re running 218km.

It all boils down to one word — passion. Everyone is happy when they do something they love.

For these guys, and for myself, it just happens to be running.

Check out their run route here. They are targeting to finish the run at 8.30pm tomorrow (Sunday). Please go down and support them along the course if you can!

P.S. Here’s a link to a map of my run this morning, till the watch died at about 55km.

    Hi Steve!

Good to meet you too. Well 60km was easy for me but it was at an easy pace… wouldn’t be that easy if we were pushing it! :-)
